Monday morning already? Feeling it from yesterday. Pastors talk about a "Holy Hangover" that hits after services on Sunday. It's the "crash" coming off the adrenaline and high of preaching, worshipping, and seeing God change people's lives. It hit me HARD yesterday afternoon. Usually by mid-day on Monday I'm getting over it, but man I'm feeling it this morning. Good stuff. Has been a while since I blogged so here's some thoughts about the last week or so:
1. Yesterday ROCKED at Cornerstone!! What a way to kick-off our new series: FIREPROOF! Services were powerful!
2. Felt amazing about the message. Hadn't preached in 3 of the last 4 weeks so I was READY. Had the cannon loaded up and fired it as best I could. Awesome to see people respond the way they did.
3. Been praying hard for this series. Journaled this morning that I believe God is gonna breakdown some major strongholds in people's marriages and relationships through this series and take them to a greater level of connection, intimacy, joy, and satisfaction. Love seeing LIFE-CHANGE!!
4. Had several people receive Christ as Savior yesterday!! Not sure until staff meeting about how many, but I think it was just under 10! AWESOME!!
5. Set-design is OFF THE CHAIN for this series! Creative Design Team knocked it out of the park!!
6. Music yesterday was POWERFUL. Was wonderful to see our people worshipping the way they did. Band is seriously taking things to another level. WOW.
7. Great to meet some new folks yesterday! Always love when someone from our church introduces me to someone they invited and brought with them! You guys rock!
8. Great to have Charles Longoria and his folks visit from the Corpus area. Charles is part of the worship team at Bay Area Fellowship and I got to meet him at C3. Great guy. His older brother is part of Cornerstone and he and his folks were visiting this weekend. Great to see you all!
9. Still trying to wrap my mind around everything God did at our Community Night last week!! Awesome turnout and connections being made everywhere. Great to see tons of people getting connected to a Community Team!! Thank you C-Team leaders for making it such a memorable night!
10. Spring Break time! Yes, my sweetie is home for a week and my babies too! Love it!
11. Michelle and I had such an amazing time last weekend visiting The Connection Church! They are doing amazing things and their Lead Pastor Cole Phillips and his wife Pam are amazing servants of God! Cole has a great staff and leaders. Zak White, their Executive Pastor is a great friend and so is Nic Burleson, their Family Pastor. Michelle and I loved hanging out with Cole & Pam and Zak & Amber.
12. Easy to see that the folks at The Connection Church get it. What's "it"? The vision that Pastor Cole has been teaching them. They are living in out and impacting people's lives in some great ways. Amazingly friendly people at the Connection Church!
13. Reading this book and this one right now. Both are great, obviously in different ways!
14. Really enjoyed our time at the SBTC's Church Planter Retreat in San Antonio. The SBTC always does such a great job with it and they make us feel honored and humbled. Thanks Terry, Barry, and the whole team for all that you do!
15. Michelle and I loved connecting again with our dear friends Josh & Lisa Tapia at the retreat and meeting their pastor and his wife. Josh has become one of the funniest guys I know. I think its because he's hanging around with this guy too much. Cleto is one of the funniest guys I've ever heard! Great to hear about how Josh has joined an elite and established "group of men". Josh will get that one.
16. I've never been more PUMPED UP about what God is doing at Cornerstone and where we are headed! What an awesome time to be serving the KINGDOM!
17. Excited about the audible God called for our Easter series. Tons of lives are going to be impacted and changed!! Can't wait!!
18. Tweeking some things in our schedule as far as staff and team meetings, etc. Excited to see what comes of it.
19. Camped out in Luke 7 this morning. Tons of good stuff in that chapter!
20. I'm part of a great C-Team of guys on Mondays! I love my C-Team! For the last several weeks and for several more, Michelle and I are part of a Crown Financial C-Team on Sundays as we're training leaders to lead some Crown C-Teams in the future. IT HAS BEEN POWERFUL! The Crown stuff is good and solid. We're loving it! We do Dave Ramsey's stuff also! We have found that they are a great combination!
21. Speaking of Dave Ramsey, Michelle and I loved sitting in on LifeChurch.tv's on-line worship service on Saturday night! They're doing a three-week series on finances, etc. during this economy. Dave Ramsey is preaching all-three weeks! Good stuff! Love Craig Groeschel's leadership and lifechurch.tv's innovation in having an "on-line" campus!
22. Do you realize what an awesome time it is to be serving the Kingdom of God?!! Easter is coming up and there is no better time to invite someone to church, share your faith, and make a difference as you serve others!!!
23. Think of that couple, that friend, that co-worker, that family member that God has put on your heart and invite them and bring them with you to Cornerstone Church this weekend for the 2nd part of our FIREPROOF series!! Their lives will be changed forever!!

Loui,
Greetings in the name of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ, I pray that all is well. It was a joy to sit down with you, Michelle, Josh and Lisa. My heart was stirred by your humility, it is encouraging to hear of the good work the LORD is doing at Cornerstone.
In Christ,
Edward
